The “Cybersecurity Made In Europe” label improves the visibility of cybersecurity companies from Europe not only on the European market, but also on the global market. 18 European associations have been authorized by the European Cyber Security Organization (ECSO) and issue the label primarily to small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups. So far, eurobits e.V. is the only German awarding body.

What is CYBERSECURITY MADE IN EUROPE?

The CYBERSECURITY MADE IN EUROPE label is a new marketing tool to promote European cybersecurity companies. It raises awareness of the value of companies that come from Europe and whose business is based on reliable and trustworthy European values. From a strategic point of view, the label makes an important contribution to achieving a core objective: improving European digital autonomy.

What is the label NOT?

The label is not a technical certification.

What can I use the label for?

The “Cybersecurity Made In Europe” label serves as a marketing tool and helps European cybersecurity companies to stand out from the crowd. For example, companies can use the label on their homepage, on sales documents and in general communication (letters, emails, etc.).

What requirements do I have to fulfill?

The requirements for your company to be awarded the CYBERSECURITY MADE IN EUROPE label are:

Your company is headquartered in Europe.
You have no significant ownership/control outside Europe.
Europe is your core market, as more than half of your cybersecurity research and development activities and/or personnel are based there.
You offer trustworthy cybersecurity solutions and thus agree to ENISA’s „Indispensable baseline security requirements for the procurement of secure ICT products and services“.
You respect the European requirements for data and privacy protection as set out in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Where can I apply and what else do I need to consider?

You can apply directly via this online form. Please make sure you provide proof of your details by also uploading a corresponding official extract (extract from the commercial register).

We will also be happy to send you all application forms by e-mail on request. Once you have received the forms from us, please complete them in full. An on-site check by eurobits e.V. or ECSO will not take place.

If your company is not based in Germany, you can contact a partner in your country or apply directly to eurobits e.V.

How long is the label valid?

An issued label is always valid for twelve months.

What are the costs associated with issuing the label?

There are different price structures for the initial issue of the “Cybersecurity Made In Europe” label and its renewal.

Members of eurobits e.V. pay 300 euros for both the initial application and for each contract extension.
Companies that are not members of eurobits e.V. pay 750 euros for the initial application and 600 euros for each contract extension.

All prices exclude VAT.

Members of eurobits e.V. include internationally recognized research institutes, globally active companies and promising start-ups.
