With the Digital Water Management Competence Centre, the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and several water management companies (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Wasserwirtschaftsverbände NRW, Gelsenwasser AG, RWW mbH, Emschergenossenschaft, Lippeverband, Stadtentwässerungsbetriebe Köln) have created an institution to make the opportunities of digitalisation for the water management sector available in an agile manner and to minimise the risks of digitalisation.

We want to help companies and businesses in the water industry find the right digitisation strategies for their company and efficiently get digital projects off the ground. In this context, innovation and change are never intended as an end in themselves, but rather as a very essential element so that the water sector can continue to maintain its services of general interest for society, nature and the economy at the current level in the future.

Many impulses and a great deal of knowledge in the field of digitalisation from the water sector converge with us. Conversely, this enables us to send back targeted impulses and information to our community via various formats (virtual and face-to-face).
