This year’s ECSO STARtup Awards and ECSO CISO Choice Awards will be presented on 21 and 22 March 2024 at the G DATA Campus in Bochum. The final rounds will be organised by Bochum Wirtschaftsentwicklung in cooperation with Women4Cyber Foundation and eurobits e.V.

Background information:

Since 2020, the ECSO STARtup Award has been presented to the most promising European cybersecurity start-ups. The aim is to give small European cybersecurity companies the opportunity to gain visibility, investment and business connections at European level. Die European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) organises the STARTup Award once a year in cooperation with various partners throughout Europe. The award consists of a series of local competitions and the final competition. The winners of the individual local events are selected by the respective local juries and nominated for the final competition. This final will now be held in Bochum.

This year, ECSO is focussing on innovation and expanding the event with a brand new award category – the ECSO CISO Choice Award. While the ECSO STARtup Award aims to bring together European cybersecurity start-ups and investors, the ECSO CISO Choice Award will host larger European companies with established solutions and funding to facilitate their access to the market. Overall, the event aims to highlight European excellence in cybersecurity, promote European-made products, drive innovation and stimulate investment in the European cybersecurity market.

In addition to the exciting competitions, attendees will be able to participate in expert-led panel discussions on some of the hottest topics in cybersecurity today, such as investment, European solutions and the European cybersecurity market. In addition, the event offers participants many opportunities to network and socialise within the European cybersecurity community – from investors and buyers to vendors, industry leaders, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts.
